Colin Salt - Cynfor, Cemaes
An engineer and the major shareholder and Director of a successful company that manufactures and sells specialist materials for science and industry in the U.K. and overseas.
Recently semi-retired he has launched a housing property development with a local builder in Anglesey.
Experienced in managing projects and has a strong financial background.
Has many years of nautical experience as an offshore sailor along the coast of North Wales and the Irish Sea.
A family man he and his wife are the owners of a motor cruiser based in Holyhead , Anglesey.

Peter A. Wain - Mor Awel, Cemaes
A former Major in the army. His last posting was that of Senior Education/Training Officer at the Depot, Prince of Wales Division, Crickhowell. He is now a self-employed businessman, specializing in antique Chinese works of art. He is enjoying being part of the restoration project and is looking forward to the involvement of the youth of the village and the subsequent training

David W. Williams - Boathouse, Cemaes
A secondary schoolmaster from 1960-1999. Has had considerable maritime experience since owning his first boat at 12 years of age. Part-time Angling Charter since 1970, becoming full time in 2000 after retiring. Has done contract work with Trinity House Auxiliary Coastguard Afloat since 1974. Community Council Member, Cemaes Trades & Tourism, R.N.L.I.  and Cemaes Bay Harbour Master for the last 15 years.

Historic Advisor

Owain Roberts
Owain has cruised/raced off-shore since 1951, from both the River Mersey and Caergybi, the Bay of Biscay to the Hebrides. Worked school/college holidays in a boatyard. He builds his own yachts from 18ft. 31ft., including a 24ft. catamaran. Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate Instructor at Beaumaris O.E.C. RYA Coach/examiner for Gwynedd. Owns 7.5 ton wooden sloop built in 1952, moored at Caergybi and sails to Ireland, the Isle of Man. and Scotland. A nautical archaeologist who has published and lectured extensively. Owain has a wide experience of pulling an oar in whalers and cutters - might be useful when the trials of the restored lifeboat begin!!

Hon. Coxwain

Brian Thompson
Brian joined Holyhead Lifeboat as a volunteer in 1972. Served on the "St. Cybi", 52ft. "Barnett" class, then on the "Arun" class, "Hyman Winston", which was replaced in 1986 by the "St. Cybi 2" (a "Tyne " class lifeboat), where he was appointed 2nd Cox. Changed to the Arun class "Kenneth Therwell" and was appointed Station Coxwain in 2000. The latest Lifeboat based at Holyhead is a "Severn" Class boat, the "Christopher Pearce".

R.N.L.I. Liaison Officer

Steven Williams
Former steelworker at Shotton, now a Team Leader in the shipping department of Anglesey Aluminium. Chairman of Cemaes R.N.L.I., member of the Community Council, Director of Cwmni Cemaes, a member of Cemaes Carnival Committee & Cemaes Social Club and deeply involved in local fundraising.

Training Officer

Mike Thompson
Chartered Biologist and Secondary School Science Teacher from 1960 until retiring as Deputy Head of a Comprehensive School in Macclesfield in 1989. Quality Assurance Manager at a fabrics printing company from 1989 - 1996. Mike gained valuable maritime experience in the Royal Naval Volunteer Service from 1994 to the present time. He has many RYA qualifications and is a Member of the Royal Navy Sailing Association and the Royal Yachting Association. He is currently Vol. Lt. Cdr. Regional Volunteer Officer, North Wales MVS.

I.T.Officer

Gwyn Jenkins
Chartered Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology. University lecturer in Instrumentation & Electronic Control Systems from 1971 - 1994. I.T. Training Consultant from 1994 - 1998. Manager of Cwmni Cemaes Computer Centre and responsible for village website and the production & maintenance of "Lifeboat Appeal" website there. Interested in the education and training of young people.
